20th October 2022, BANANA & Partners attended the Digital Grounds: Towards A Green Digital Economy event organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH GIZ Indonesia, ASEAN & Timor-Leste. The DTC & Make-IT Project is implemented together with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Republic of Indonesia at Westin Jakarta. This event aims to support digital transformation in Indonesia through strengthening activities, including using digital technology and digital enablers.
The purpose of digital grounds activities is to share essential knowledge and facilitate the exchange of information between actors and stakeholders existing players in the ecosystem about the current status and strategies that support digitizing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs/UMKM) and developing green technology in Indonesia. In addition, this activity provides insights and journeys from UMKM, green technology startups, and the entity’s public organizations (civil society organizations/academics) to support UMKM in accelerating digital technology adoption.
Indonesia and Germany discussed strategies for accelerating digital transformation for UMKM and startups, particularly related to technological innovation for a green economy. The design will support preparing the Long-Term Development Plan 2025–2045 and the National Medium-Term Development Plan 2025–2029, particularly National Priority 5, Infrastructure to Support the Economy and Basic Services.
This event was attended by practitioners in UMKM and the Green Economy ecosystem consisting of public and private entities, among others: Government, Academics, Associations, Business Sector, business support organizations, technology pioneers (digital stay-up), and UMKM with interest in using technology digital for business, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs who are interested in developing green technology.
21st October 2022, BANANA & Partners attended the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) event at CoHive 101 Mega Kuningan Jakarta. This event also invited other institutions from Government, Associations, and stakeholders, including Private Sector. In this event, we discussed Greening the Startup Ecosystem in Indonesia.
This FGD activity intends to formulate and map current conditions, such as challenges and lessons learned, to become inputs for appropriate support strategies and effective. This activity was carried out using a focus group discussion method so that participants and practitioners could exchange knowledge and collaboratively make strategic plans to improve and support Indonesia’s green technology start-up ecosystem.
BANANA & Partners, together with PANDORA, will continue to consider environmental aspects in driving economic growth to realize the principle of sustainability as one of the main goals.
